Bishan Singh Bedi questions selectors' decision to drop Virender Sehwag from ODI squad
Former India skipper and legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi Sunday questioned the selectors' decision to drop Virender Sehwag from the 15-man India squad for the first three One-Day Internationals (ODI) of the five-match series against England starting Jan 11.

"Is dropping only Sehwag the answer to all ills of India’s cricket today? Admittedly we have experts unlikely to question the BCCI for reasons not unknown-dedwud stays!!" -- Bedi tweeted.

Sehwag, who has been in poor form of late, was dropped from the third and final ODI against Pakistan at the Ferozshah Kotla Sunday which India won by 10 runs. Sehwag has been going through a rough patch and has averaged just 22.54 in the 11 ODIs he has played in the last 12 months.

The Sandip Patil-led selection committee met here Sunday and announced the team immediately after the match.

Bedi also congratulated India on the win.

"Well done India. Nearly messed it. All's well that ends well. Really?! Problems persist which can't be brushed under the carpet. India needs fresh legs and shoulders ideas. Cruel cricket weather at Kotla. Both teams braving it out as do the crowd-daft ODI planning in North-1 to go at Dharmshala end Jan Ind vs Eng!!!," added the former left-arm spinner.
