Kieran Powell, Shivnarine Chanderpaul centuries steer West Indies to 361 on Day One

 Opener Kieran Powell and Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored centuries on Day one to take West Indies to 361 runs for the loss of four wickets at Dhaka.



Earlier, Powell smashed century to steady West Indies innings after they lost early wickets against Bangladesh on the opening day of the first Test in Dhaka on Tuesday.



West Indies were 228 for 3 at tea. Along with Powell, who was unbeaten on 115, was experienced batsmanShivnarine chanderpaul was unbeaten on 46.



Sohag Gazi, the 21-year-old off-spinner opened the bowling attack and dismissed Chris Gayle (24) and Darren Bravo (14) in his first spell to halt West Indies's progress who won the toss and decided to bat at Shere Bangla stadium.
