Shane Warne wishes Yuvraj Singh on international comeback

Shane Warne wishes Yuvraj Singh on international comeback

Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne on Friday wished Yuvraj Singh good luck, as the latter is set to make a comeback to international cricket after winning the battle against a rare germ cell cancer.

“Hey buddy, good luck tomorrow re being back on the field, very proud of you & your determination.. Well done champion...” Warne wrote to Yuvraj on Twitter.

Yuvraj, who played his last international match last November in Kolkata against the West Indies in the second Test for India, is set to feature in the first T20 against New Zealand on Saturday.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni believes in keeping his emotions under check and as a leader, he wants to guard Yuvraj Singh from the hype surrounding the World Cup hero's comeback against New Zealand in the first T20 match.

"I feel we need to keep as normal as possible. Don't create the hype around him," Dhoni told the media after their practice session on Friday.

On the eve of the match, it was Yuvraj who remained the centre of attention during India's practice session.

From the scribes, lensmen, to ACA officials and those gathered at ground to watch the team train, each and every movement made by Yuvraj was being covered with minutest detail.
