Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed scored 45 each and Kamran Akmal played a quickfire innings of to help Pakistan set a 152-run target against Australia in their second T20 match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Pakistan lost their opener Imran Nazir in the second over for a duck when he was bowled by Mitchell Starc.
Hafeez and Jamshed then joined forces to add 76 runs for the second wicket to strengthen Pakistan after early blow.
Hafeez struck only one boundary in his innings of 45, which came off 42 balls while Jamshed clobbered four boundaries and a six to score 45 off 36 deliveries.
Towards the end, Akmal's knock of unbeaten 43 off 26 balls with the help of six hits to the fence propelled Pakistan to a strong total of 151-4 from 20 overs.
Starc was impressive with the figures of one for 17 off his four overs, while Shane Watson bagged one wicket for 29 off as many overs.
Veteran Brad Hogg failed to make a mark with the ball, giving away 38 runs from his four-over spell.
Earlier, Pakistan captain Hafeez won the toss and elected to bat first.
Pakistan lead the three-match T20 series 1-0.
