Sri Lanka cricketer Kumar Sangakkara on Saturday swept as many as three awards -- People's Choice, Cricketer of the Year, and Test Cricketer of the Year -- during the ICC Awards ceremony in Colombo.
The senior Sri Lankan cricketer was named winner of the LG ICC People's Choice Award, ahead of India's Sachin Tendulkar.
"Kumar Sangakkara has won his second award of the evening and has been crowned the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year," the ICC announced on Twitter.
Sangakkara has played 111 Test matches, scoring 9,872 runs at an average of 56.73 for the island nation.
The cricket governing body added, "The ICC Cricketer of the Year is Kumar Sangakkara. He has won three awards tonight in Colombo."
