Indian cricket's future rests on Virat Kohli: Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly feels the future of team India rests on the performance of the present vice-captain Virat Kohli.

"I think much of Indian cricket's future will rests on Virat Kohli now. I see a lot of talent in India, but they should be given time to settle down at the international level," Ganguly said at an event in Kolkata.

The Pune Warriors India skipper also said that the Indian bowlers lack strength and fitness.

"I think it's mainly because of their lack of strength and fitness. At the same time it is also their attitudes. A pacer should always think, say like Shoaib Akhtar and be imposing on the field," Ganguly was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Ganguly also mentioned about the present Bengal Ranji side.

"I feel a number of Bengal players like Ashok Dinda, Manoj Tiwary, Wriddhiman Saha, Mohammad Shami have loads of talent and temperament to play for India," he concluded.
