Harbhajan Singh celebrates recall to India side with three-wicket haul

India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh marked his recall to the national side with figures of 3 for 35 for his side Essex in a winning cause against Kent, in a County Championship match on Friday.

This is by far Harbhajan's best figures in this county season. Along with Maurice Chambers (4/31) and Graham Napier (3/26), Harbhajan demolished Kent in their second innings for 101 thereby setting a platform for a seven-wicket victory.

Harbahajan had also got a wicket in the first innings. In the second innings, he trapped opener Sam Northeast (3) leg before. He then removed another top-order batsman Alex Blake (18) caught by Chambers. His final victim was former England wicketkeeper Geraint Jones (13) who was caught by Ryan ten Doeschate. Harbhajan's figures were 15-3-35-3.

Requiring 55 to win, Essex knocked off the runs in 18.3 overs.
